Description

Lord John Swamp Provisional School no.420 opened in 1878 in the Shire of Glengallan, the Parish of Wildash on the Darling Downs. The first Head Teacher was Augustus White in charge of 16 pupils. Lord John Swamp became a State School on 15 October 1883. In 1924 the School had a further name change to Wildash State School, finally closing in 1938 due to falling attendances.
