Description
Carney's Creek Provisional School No.608 opened in 1890 via Boonah, closing as a State School in 1914. When the School reopened in 1920 it had become Carney's Creek State School No.624. The School closed once more in 1921 to reopen again in 1922. The school finally closed in 1970 due to enrolments falling below the acceptable minimum and the introduction of transport systems to carry children to larger centres.
