Description
The application before the Board of General Education for the second school at Logan [the first being a non-vested school] was held in abeyance in 1865. Logan No.2 opened in 1869 as Logan Provisional School in a rented building with accommodation for 50 pupils, but the School had only 22 pupils attend on a daily average. Logan Provisional School became Waterford State School when possession of the new school house was effected prior to the 26 July 1871.
