Description
Cooktown (Mixed) State School opened on 25 January 1875. On 19 January 1885 a separate Boys State School, and a Girls and Infants State School were opened and Cooktown State School ceased to exist. The two schools were amalgamated again to become Cooktown State School as from 1 January 1921.
