Description
Capalaba State School opened 30 July 1874 as Tingalpa Bridge Provisional School. For the next few years, it was referred to as Tingalpa Upper Provisional School. On 5 July, it became Capalaba State School. In 1922, the school was declared closed due to low enrolments, but in fact it continued to operate as an unclassified school the next year. From 1924, it once again became a state school. On 1 Jan 2005 there was an amalgamation of Capalaba SHS [2141] and Capalaba SS [0203] to form Capalaba State College [5534].
