Crocodile Creek Provisional School No. 57 was 'taken under the supervision' of the General Board of Education on 14 August 1871. It was temporarily closed and reopened on 15 August 1881. Prior to its official reopening a W. J. Milliken had been conducting classes at Crocodile Creek from 26 January 1881. He was however not appointed by the Department of Public Instruction when the school was officially reopened. Crocodile Creek Provisional School was moved to a new building at Bouldercombe. It was renamed Bouldercombe State School No. 57 and established on 23 February 1900.
