Information Sources

Description

For each patient there is a double page entry recording biographical information, details of condition and behaviour, with photographs for later entries. There appears to be little information relating to the treatment given to each patient. For those patients who transferred from the Lunatic Asylum, Brisbane, to Woogaroo on 10 Jan 1865, the date they were first admitted is also given.

Access may only be authorized in cases of bona fide medical / psychiatric research NOT for general genealogical research.

N.B. Loose documents relating to the case histories were removed and are located in the pocket attachment to the verso of the front cover of relevant volumes. In some cases the documents were bound together in separate volumes bearing the same Q.S.A. location number as the case book in which they were located. In both cases a reference to the page where the document was found is given on each.
