This series is comprised of burial registers containing records of burials in Polson, Howard and Nikenbah Cemeteries.

Prior to the implementation of the Local Authorities Act 1092, the management of gazetted cemeteries was undertaken by appointed Trustees. Gradually from 1902 onwards, local councils assumed responsibility for local cemeteries, with Howard Shire Council assuming control of the Howard Cemetery at the request of the Howard Cemetery Trustees in March 1905 and Polson Cemetery coming under the management of the Pialba (later Burrum) Shire Council in December 1905. Nikenbah Cemetery (also known as Aarlsborg) began as a privately operated churchyard cemetery in 1897. It was surrendered to the Burrum Shire Council in 1918.

The registers record information relating to persons buried/burials in the cemetery, including name of deceased, denomination, late residence, rank or profession, sex and age, where born, officiating minister, date of burial, portion in which buried, no of grave, type of grave (public, private or vault), supposed cause of death and undertaker/representative.
