Community Cabinet meetings have been held in Queensland since 1998, an opportunity for Government to listen to local businesses, families and workers to discuss issues that are important to them directly with a Minister or senior departmental official. Several times a year Ministers and agency CEOs travel to a community location. For the first hour the Premier and Ministers take questions from the floor and afterwards Ministers meet with community members. The last hour of the meeting is dedicated to formal deputations. Agencies provide formal responses to deputations after the Cabinet meeting and a newsletter is distributed which outlines issues raised at the meeting and any subsequent government announcements of consequence to the community.

This series consists of Community Cabinet briefing papers for meetings across Queensland. There are briefings for the Premier and for the Ministers. Briefings can be about general or specific issues. There are also deputation briefs for the Premier and/or Ministers, or deputation requests.
