Information Sources


The series comprises correspondence, reports, statistical returns, surveys, minutes of meetings and documents relating to the administrative arrangements and budget of the Australian Hookworm Campaign. The documents were kept by the Campaign’s Director, Dr W Sawyer. The Hookworm Campaign worked co-operatively with the Commonweath Government and the International Health Board which had previously conducted studies on the disease in Papua. This campaign was established under the auspices of the Health Division of the Home Secretary's Office.
