Information Sources

This series comprises registers of nurses qualified in general and obstetric nursing who applied for child welfare training, as well as those nurses who were successful and commenced the training. Details include their name, age, contact details, dates and qualifications. Details of lectures and demonstrations attended are also given for each grade. On completion of their training at the training centre for nurses at the St Paul's Terrace Home, nurses had to sit a Nurses and Masseurs Registration Board three-hour written examination to obtain a Certificate in Child Welfare.
