Information Sources

The series contains details of valuations of land and subsequent rateable values applied to land holders, including freehold and lessees of pastoral and selection leases. Includes owners' name and address, details of property such as location, parish, county and allotment number, as well as payment details. The rates include water and cleansing and other levies such as the Aramac Tramway levy from 1913. Correspondence from government agencies, business and residents or individuals appear in the registers from time to time.

Initially by calendar year, the registers adopt the financial year from 1940. The series takes the form of cards from 1957 and computer reports from 1985 and contains a full annual financial statement from 1985.
