Information Sources

Description

This series consists of records created in the course of submitting documents to Cabinet as Cabinet Submissions. The records typically include a submission summary which outlines the background of the submission and the recommendations to be taken to Cabinet, along with supporting documentation. The papers may include documents provided by other departments. Sometimes the papers contain handwritten annotations by the Premier, other ministers and senior public servants. Although the formal Cabinet submissions (series 142) are the primary Cabinet record of value, this series includes significant supporting material and annotated drafts and copies of final submissions which provide important insights into the Cabinet process and the broader operation of government.
