This series contains files of investigations into misconduct and rule breaches by health practitioners, health clinics and persons acting as qualified practitioners. The files contain information on the investigations and include witness statements, interviews, newspaper cuttings, photographic evidence, defendant pleas, charges, fines to be paid and written declarations by the health boards as to whether an individual is a current registered health practitioner.
These files cover investigations and complaints for Medical, Pharmacy, Optical, Dental, Dental Technicians, Speech Pathologists and Nurses Boards.
Note: The new national scheme and AHPRA became operational on 1 July 2010. In 2009, ten health professions in Queensland, including eight supported by OHPRA, transitioned to the national scheme, leaving only the Dental Technicians, Medical Radiation Technologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists under the state registration scheme. In July 2012, the Medical Radiation Technologists and Occupational Therapists moved to national registration, and in August 2012 the Queensland Government decided to end the state-based regulatory scheme for the speech pathologists and dental technicians.
