These proforma printed cards record the details of nurses registered with the Nurses Registration Board and subsequently the Nurses and Masseurs Registration Board and Nurses Board of Queensland. Some details entered on the cards (either typed or hand-written) vary over time but those entered on the top of the front of each card include the nurse's name, including name changes, and date of birth, and on the top of the back of each card, the nurse's address with any changes of address.
Details entered under the heading Particulars for general, midwifery, child welfare, mental or masseurs include the name of the hospital, period of training, date of entry (to training), date (or place if not Queensland) of examinations passed (1st section, 2nd section and final), date training completed, date registered, certificate number and badge number. Yearly registrations are entered on the back of the card and include the receipt numbers.
Cards of the Nurses Registration Board with hand-written details and dates 1920s-1930s may not contain yearly registration details (white, pink or blue cards).
Some nursing aide cards are included (yellow cards).
Some cards are marked Destroyed 1986, 1987 (presumably related files).
