Description

These registers record incorporated companies registered in Queensland. Details given for each company include registration number, name of company, number of shares, amount of shares, capital, date of registration, when certificate issued, location of registered office, and nature of return required under statutes (Notice of other document, when required). The registers also record whether a company was liquidated, wound up or struck off in instances where companies ceased to operate.

In 1904 Queensland was divided into three districts, northern central and southern, for the purposes of purposes of registration. From 1904 onwards, details of companies registered in northern or central districts are marked in red or purple ink and are in strict chronological sequence.
