This is an artificial series that includes correspondence and copies of documents which were received by the Archaeology Branch - or relate to its functions. Some of the documents are marked with the file titles 18R/7, 12R/2L etc. which appear to belong to the department's main (alphanumeric) correspondence series. The subjects dealt with include: Quinkan Reserves Trust; Aboriginal traditional medicine; honorary protectors (wardens) under the Cultural Record Act 1987, Fraser Island, Aboriginal Reserves, Bamaga and Port Stewart working files, etc.
