The series contains burial registers, indexes and listings of graves at the North Pine Cemetery / Lawnton Cemetery, including the Lawnton Lawn Cemetery.
In the cemetery register for North Pine Cemetery, the following detail is given: number of grave, name of deceased, date of burial, portion number in the cemetery and section number, class of grave and grave size. In some instances the names of the undertaker and clergyman, fees and remarks are also given. The register also contains a copy of the rules and regulations of the North Pine Cemetery. The register has also been used to record an index to graves in the cemetery.
There are two indexes to the graves in the North Pine Cemetery for the period 1881-1986. The cemetery is divided into alphabetical sections. Within these sections are numerical subdivisions. The graves within these subdivisions are numbered sequentially. The names of the deceased and date of death are recorded next to each grave number. Further information is given in some instances including: names of undertaker and clergyman, deceased's place of birth, payment details, cause of death, age and whether grave is on the left, right or centre or if it has been re-opened. There is a common date range in both indexes. However, in the register covering 21 Oct 1881 - 1 Dec 1986 where the entry is found in the North Pine Cemetery register the page reference is included in the index. Some of the information in the index for 21 Oct 1881 - 12 May 1953 is unreadable due to paper damage. The register for 21 Oct 1881 - 12 May 1953 has also been used as a cemetery register while the register covering 21 Oct 1881 - 1 Dec 1986 has a list of subscribers for burial sites and the amount of their subscription and has also been used as a minute book.

A separate, partial, alphabetical index for the burial register accompanies it. It notes the surname and page number for the register's first 18 pages.

Rarely recorded are denomination, cause of death, date (of burial), time, applicant, address, funeral director, clergy, witness' signature.
