Description

The press cuttings are mainly from the Melbourne Herald and Sun; Adelaide Advertiser; Sydney Herald, Telegraph and Sun; Queensland Telegraph, Courier Mail, Sunday Mail, North Queensland Register and Sunday Truth. The cuttings contain various topics relating to hospitals, fire brigades, ambulances, health, state children, homes for aged, hospital benefits and medical schemes. Also included are details on foods, drugs and poisons, nurses, doctors, dental, optical, pharmacy, mental hygiene, maternal and child welfare, native affairs and political information. This series covers the agency name change from Health and Home Affairs Department to Health Department.
