These cards register enquiries made to the Immigration Department regarding pensions. Details on each card include the correspondence number (progress number, previous and subsequent numbers), the writer and subject (some entries include age of person, or place etc.). The writer was often someone acting on behalf of another, for example, writers were often members of Parliament.
