Information Sources

This series consists of correspondence files of the New Settlers League regarding immigrants particularly in relation to their employment and welfare. The correspondence is between the League and the immigrants and also with prospective employers, church groups, the Immigration Department, Australia House, London etc. The letters from immigrants, such as farm lads, include information regarding their employment and circumstances. As well as correspondence, other documents may be included in some files, for example, savings bank account statements and applications by employers for farm learners.
