Information Sources


Included in this series are records relating to council elections, building & fitting of new council shire offices, and leasing and restoration of the old town hall. Records also relate to: the registration of the Shire coat of arms, centenary celebrations, opening of the water supply, closure of rail line Ferny Grove - Dayboro and subsequent road construction, and sewerage plans for Everton Park subdivision. There are papers relating to Samsonvale, Lawnton, and Samford cemeteries. Of interest are handwritten notes provided by a former resident describing customs of the last aboriginal tribe to live in the Shire.
