Description
ESTABLISHMENT:
Bundaberg South State SchooL was the original Bundaberg school, no. 18. This school underwent major administrative changes in 1885, when it was divided into two separate schools. (Bundaberg South State School, no. 18 offically closed on 30 Jun 1885).

The new schools were Bundaberg South Girls and Infants State School No.18 and Bundaberg South Boys State School No.412 which opened on 6 July 1885.

In approximately Nov 1894, these schools changed names to Bundaberg Central Girls and Infants State School No.18, and Bundaberg Central Boys State School No.412. However, both were offically closed on 31 Dec 1925 prior to their amalgamation and official reopening on 25 Jan 1926 as Bundaberg Central State School No.18.
