Description
The Far North Queensland Joint Health Board existed between 1979 and 1996 providing the services of a health surveyor to participating Councils for the purpose of identifying health problems and giving advice to Councils regarding remedies. During its operational history, the Board was jointly administered by the Councils of Aurukun, Cook and Mornington which answered to the Department of Local Government.
