Description
The Primary Correspondence School was inaugurated 1 February 1922. The aim of the School was to provide primary school education for isolated children. The School opened initially in the Central Technical College with an enrolment of 37 pupils, but in September of that year transferred to the building occupied by the Training College, formerly Trades Hall. In July 1989, the School amalgamated with the Preschool and Secondary School correspondence schools to become the Brisbane School of Distance Education.

N.B. Some of the early Registers refer to the School as simply the Correspondence School.
