Description
The newly built Maudsland Provisional School opened 13 October 1879, with John William Scott as its first Head Teacher. A school inspection took place to examine the new building on 14 June 1880, and on 1 January 1909 Maudsland Provisional School was proclaimed a State School. The school closed 15 April 1963 with the remaining pupils being transported via a school transportation service to Coomera State School. The school building was also transferred to Coomera State School and the school site set aside as a park under the control of the Albert Shire Council.
