Description
On 30 March 1994 Woongarra Shire Council and Gooburrum Shire Council were amalgamated to form the Burnett Shire Council. On 15 March 2008 Burnett Shire amlagamated with Bundaberg City, Isis and Kolan Shires to form the Bundaberg Region.
