Description
ESTABLISHMENT:
During 1889 the Bundaberg School of Arts was given a grant to enable the committee to introduce technical education. The Technical College operated as part of the School of Arts. From September 1902 the committee of the Technical College kept a separate Minute Book and a separate account.

The Technical Education Act of 1918 enabled the Department of Public Instruction to take control of country Technical Colleges. Thus, in 1924 Bundaberg Technical College was taken over by the Department and was combined with Bundaberg State High School under the one Principal.

On 10 September 1964, a Queensland Government gazettal notice stated that Bundaberg Technical College was to be separated from the State High School, effective from 1 January 1965.

Technical Education, including subjects such as architectural and mechanical drawing, painting, mathematics, practical biology, chemistry, carpentry, shorthand and grammar.
