Description
The "State Education and Another Act Amendment Act 1957" established Sandgate Opportuntiy School, which opened on 26 April 1960. The school's first head teacher was Mr Lescha Joseph Coory. Previous to this, opportuntiy classes were attached to the State school at Sandgate. The school closed in 1995.
