The Nurses Board of Queensland was established 27 Jul 1965, but on 23 Dec 1976 the decision was made to separate the function of registration from education and training and this was done be establishing the Board of Nursing Studies. The Nurses Registration Board of Queensland (II) (1459) was re-established as a result.
