Description
ESTABLISHMENT:
Under Public Service Departmental Arrangements Notice (No. 3) 2017, the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women was established on 12 December 2017, absorbing functions relating to child safety, women's policy, domestic violence reform and youth affairs previously undertaken by the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, in addition to functions relating to youth justice previously undertaken by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General. The function of Youth Justice was transferred to the Department of Youth Justice on 20 May 2019.
