Description
ESTABLI
Under the "Liquor Act 1912", all licensing districts formerly constituted under repealed Acts became licensing districts for the constitution of licensing courts. The constitution of a licensing court within the licensing district of Thornborough was confirmed in the Queensland Government Gazette on 22 February 1913.

The Licensing District, Thornborough, changed its name to Licensing District, Mount Mulligan on 10 Jul 1920.

The Licensing District, Mount Mulligan, ceased to exist on 22 Dec 1921. The licensing districts of Chillagoe, Etheridge and Norman assumed responsibility for the area formerly covered by Mount Mulligan (Thornborough).

FUNCTIONS:
Licensing courts were responsible for granting, regulating and rescinding liquor licences within a licensing district. The granting of licences by the licensing court was annual and included licences for licensed victualler's licence, wine seller's licence, packet licence, billiard licence and bagatelle licence.
