Description
ESTABLISHMENT:
The Office of the Medical Board was established under the "Medical Board (Administration) Act 2006" and became operational on 1 October 2007.

FUNCTIONS:
The Office provides administrative and operational support to the Medical Board of Queensland including medical practitioners' registrations, and professsional standards.

ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE:
The Office consists of an executive officer and staff with services to the Board delivered through five progam areas including policy, registrations, professional standards and health assessment and monitoring.

ABOLITION:
With the abolition of the Medical Board of Queensland, the Office under the "Health Legislation (Health Practitioner Regulation National Law) Amendment Act 2010" ceased to exist.
