Kawana Waters State High School opened 28 January 1986. On 1 Jan 2006 Kawana Waters State High School and Bokarina State School amalgamated to become Kawana - Bokarina State College and Kawana Waters State High School became Kawana-Bokarina Senior Campus. On 3 March 2006 the name changed to Kawana Waters Senior Campus.
